Just have a look at her here, where she’s striking a posefor thelatest edition of Newcastle-based fashion magazine, Façon.
The piece features a stunning photo shoot and an interview with Kate, in which she speaks about wondering where shebelongs.
“I’m always questioning and always wondering whether I’m where I’m meant to be, or if there are things I need to change,” the actress, radio presenter and author said.
The fourth edition of the magazine, which is created at Wickham, hits newsstands on Thursday.
As well as the piece on Kate Ritchie, it features Q&As with Cate Blanchett, Dannii Minogue andIta Buttrose.
Editor-in-chiefLara Lupish said the edition featured“a stellar line up of talent” and “some really personal insights, reflections and plans for 2018”.
“Having some of ’s biggest stars speak to us and trust us with their story is a testament to the quality of work that we are producing.”
Lara has also worked as astylist and fashion editor.
She has good contacts in the fashion and celebrity world, which makes getting access to big stars that much easier.
Her clients have included Delta Goodrem, Megan Gale andJennifer Hawkins. She’s also worked as a costume designer for actressNaomi Watts on a movie.
“It’s not what you know, it’s who you know,” she said.
Lara was born and bred in Newcastle. She didapsychology degree at the University of Newcastle, before living and working overseasin the US, UK,Europe and Sydney.
She started the magazine because she became tired oftravelling to Sydney to work.
“I thought ‘I’ll create my own job’,” she said.
She wanted to show metropolitan areas and that “a world-class publication can come out of Newcastle”.
“We’re as good as a team in Sydney,Melbourne orLondon. I firmly believe that.”
The magazine blends regional, national andinternational brands.
“We’re trying to put Newcastle fashion on a national stage,” she said.
Newcastle City Council has supported the magazine for three years with economic development grants worth about $20,000 in total.
The magazine also runs a program for interns, which gives media and fashion students the opportunity to gain big city experience in Newcastle.
