Police appeal for help in finding missing Northern beaches woman

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a 61-year-old woman missing from Frenchs Forest since early Friday morning.

Pamela Welsh went missing between 3.30am and 6.30am from her home in Milton Place, Frenchs Forest. A family member said the house was locked but that she found an unlocked ground floor window and let herself out.

She hasn’t been seen or heard from since and there are concerns for her welfare as Pamela suffers from anxiety and extreme agitation.

She is described as of medium build, 171cm tall with red/brown shoulder length wavy hair and may be wearing tinted glasses. The family said she is possibly wearing three-quarter length black or navy blue pants, a dark blue T-shirt like top (although she may have changed to a green and white top) and possibly a straw-coloured medium brimmed hat.

“She may be carrying a red pillow plus a black picnic blanket. We don’t know if she has these in a bag or not,” the family said.

She is not carrying a phone and has no ID, Opal/travel or credit cards or money and left all her medication at home, so she may be anxious and disoriented.

The family have no clear idea of which direction she may have walked from her house, so she could be anywhere within a radius of 30 hours walk from Frenchs Forest.

This is the second time in three weeks that she has gone missing for a day – last time she returned home disoriented, after 18 hours.

Officers from the Northern Beaches Local Area Command have commenced a search of the area.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page: https://nsw.crimestoppers老域名购买.au/
